Make your key points impossible to miss. Wrap important words in asterisks (*) to make them bold. Ideal for headlines, deadlines, and sales offers.
Use underscores (_) around your text to italicize it. This formatting is perfect for adding emphasis to specific words, movie titles, or book names.
Need to show a price drop or a correction? Use tildes (~) to cross out text. For example, writing ~Old Price~ creates a visual strike line.
To send coupon codes, snippets of programming code, or unique identifiers, use three backticks (```) to apply a "typewriter" font style that stands out.
While WhatsApp doesn't have a list button, you can simulate lists by starting lines with a hyphen (-) or an asterisk (*) followed by a space. Numbered lists work simply by typing "1. ".
Use the greater-than symbol (>) followed by a space to create a blockquote style. This is excellent for sharing customer testimonials or replying to specific text parts.
You can mix formatting! For example, use `*_text_*` to create text that is both bold and italic. Just remember to close the tags in the reverse order you opened them.
Don't forget emojis! They act as visual anchors. Also, break up "walls of text" with double line breaks to ensure your messages are readable on mobile screens.
